Marie E. Latulippe, MS, MBA, RDN
Marie has over 20 years of experience addressing the critical issues of today in the field of nutrition. As the Director of Science Programs at the Institute for the Advancement of Food and Nutrition Sciences (IAFNS), Marie leads several nutrition committees and furthers the organization’s mission to advance science for public health benefit. Additionally, she leads several collaborations with experts across sectors and fields in the food and beverage ecosystem.
Dara Lyn LoBuono, PhD, RD
I have been a Registered Dietitian for 9 years. I am currently an assistant professor in the Department of Health and Exercise Science at Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ. I completed my undergraduate studies at New York University and my graduate studies and dietetic internship at the University of Rhode Island. My research broadly focuses on improving access to nutrition information and diet quality enhanced by technology among various populations that are at nutrition risk, including older adults, adults with disability, people with Parkinson’s and paid and family caregivers. Prior to my career in academia, I worked as a community outreach dietitian at a medically based fitness facility, where I worked one-on-one with clients and provided group education and cooking demonstrations. Previously, I have served as the secretary for the Rhode Island Chapter of the American Parkinson’s Association and have held volunteer positions with the New Jersey AND and Rhode Island AND.
Nominating Committee
JoAnna Cupp, DHSc, RDN, LD, FAND
JoAnna is the Director of the Didactic Program in Dietetics, Assistant Professor at the University of Central Arkansas (Conway, AR). She has worked in 4 states as a clinical dietitian in a variety of settings with 17 years of experiences in dietetics and over 8 years in higher education. She has held leadership positions in the Arkansas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She completed her bachelor and master's degree plus her dietetic internship at the University of Central Arkansas and earned a Doctor of Health Sciences Degree from A.T. Still University in 2021. She became a Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in 2022.
Elizabeth Hill Ruder, PhD, MPH, RDN
Elizabeth (Liz) Ruder, PhD, MPH, RDN is an Associate Professor in the Wegmans School of Health and Nutrition at the Rochester Institute of Technology where she serves as a director of the B.S. degrees in Dietetics and Nutrition and Nutritional Sciences. Dr. Ruder is an applied nutrition scientist who studies the impact of diet and eating behavior on health. Her research seeks to find new ways to measure diet and eating behavior, and to develop policies and programs to enhance the health of communities throughout the United States. Dr. Ruder received her B.S. with honors in Nutritional Sciences from Cornell University and completed her training to become a Registered Dietitian at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. She obtained her PhD in Nutritional Sciences from Penn State University and then completed a post-doctoral Cancer Prevention Fellowship at the National Cancer Institute’s Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics. As part of that Fellowship, she obtained her MPH with a concentration in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. Previously, Dr. Ruder served as Director of the Didactic Program in Dietetics at the University of Pittsburgh (2012-2015) and as an adjunct faculty member Master's Degree Program in Cancer Biology, Prevention and Control offered by the University of District of Columbia/Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. Since coming to RIT in 2015, Dr. Ruder has grown her research focus to encompass community engaged scholarship. She has obtained external funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to explore the use of financial incentives to promote fresh fruits and vegetable purchases among SNAP-shoppers and obtained funding from the New York State Department of Health to collaborate with the a community based cancer coalition to enhance the communication skills of health care providers treating survivors of breast cancer.
Kathleen Woolf, PhD, RDN, FACSM
Kathleen Woolf is an Associate Professor of Nutrition in the Department of Nutrition and Food Studies at New York University (NYU). She also directs the NYU Graduate Nutrition Program. Her research examines the role that nutrition and exercise can play in the etiology and treatment of chronic diseases, such as cardiovascular disease, obesity, diabetes, and musculoskeletal & skin disorders.
Originally from Arizona, Kathleen completed her bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition from Arizona State University (ASU) and her dietetic internship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She holds a master’s degree in Public Health from the University of California, Los Angles and a PhD in Exercise Science from ASU. Kathleen has held leadership positions within the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics at the local, state, and national level. She previously served as Secretary for the Research Dietetic Practice Group (DPG) and most recently as Treasurer for the Cardiovascular Health and Well-being DPG. She is also a member of the Editorial Board for the American College of Sports Medicine’s Health and Fitness Journal.
